Details of Life
How often do you find yourself on the level with an insect, viewing the world through their eyes? Seeing the world through a micro-lens gives the viewer a different perspective on nature, illuminating the beauty of life’s intricate details that are usually overlooked. As humans, we often see things at our own level. Few of us notice the minute details inherent in all life unless we make a point to look. Once we notice how complicated and impressive the micro world is, we are more likely to see the whole planet with new eyes and recognize that the underlying connection we all share with all life starts at the microscopic level.
In this collection, I aim to represent the world as an insect sees it, drawing attention to the critical and beautiful details of life, like lichen and dew drops, that allow all other life on Earth to function. Life started in the details, after all.
